Excellent illustrations. Your talent for drawing is not to be criticised. However, there doesn’t appear to be any connection between the monster-delegate and the respective country.
For example, the Afghan delegate does not have any obvious characteristics stereotypical of Afghan culture.
I think you could add a substantial amount of humour and wit to your “Monster UN” idea if you added a connection between the delegate and respective country. This would add personality to the monster.
Furthermore, it would allow you to insert your own commentary on social and political beliefs through your artwork, potentially adding a greater sense of depth.
Thanks for the comments, Pierre. Apologies for the late reply. In response to your crit, the point of this project is not to highlight the cultural differences of human beings per se, but rather gauge the audience’s reactions when faced with an alien (albeit anthropomorphic) being from a country whose name they recognise. There’s a little bit about this in the FAQ section of the website as well: https://monsterunitednations.wordpress.com/faq/
Very pleased you are enjoying the artwork, and I hope this answers your questions.
Like you portraits.
